Overview: The Majestic TTMC Parking Lot, Bangalore

An aerial and panoramic view of Bangalore's Majestic TTMC parking lot; a personal favourite amongst most other parking lots in Bangalore

The majestic TTMC parking lot is right in the centre of Bangalore city’s transit hub i.e. at majestic. This parking lot is an open air parking lot, with space to park at least 40-50 4-wheelers and at least twice as many 2-wheeler vehicles. Often one will also find auto rickshaws parked in this lot as well during the drivers’ time of leisure. Bordering the right edge of the parking lot in the image below is a bridge that leads to the Majestic Metro Station’s main entrance. Towards the top edge of the parking lot, across the road bordering it, is the BMTC bus stop where one can board buses to any other part of the city. Further to the right beyond the bridge and also to the ft across the road, are KSRTC bus stands where buses travelling outside of Bangalore can be found arriving and leaving from.

On closer inspection, one will see as many as 18 people crammed into one parking spot adjacent to which are 3 parking spaces filled with 6 parked bicycles each. The idea is to visualise the comparison in space taken up by different modes of transport.
